HOW DO WE KNOW WHEN TO REFILL YOUR TANK?
Have you ever wondered how we calculate your usage when you are on autofill delivery? We calculate your usage and tank level using two main components: Heated Degree Days and K-Factor
HEATED DEGREE DAYS
Heating Degree Days are calculated by averaging the high and low temperature for the day in your
area and subtracting that number from 65. This is because it has been determined that a user of heat
normally turns their heat off or would use no heat when the average temperature for the day is 65 and above.
EXAMPLE:
Low for today is 20 degrees
High for today is 30 degrees
Average = 25 degrees
HDD = 40 Heating Degree Days
(65 minus 25)
THE K-FACTOR
The K-Factor is simply how many degree days it takes for your customer to burn one gallon of fuel.
If we have a 500 gallon propane tank at a customer’s house and they have a 6.5 K-Factor, they are going to burn one gallon of propane for every 6.5 degree days. That being said, in the above example we have 40 degree day, that means a customer that has a K-Factor of 6.5 theoretically burned 6.15 gallons of fuel that day.

AUTOMATICALLY-SCHEDULED TANK FILLING
TANK FILLING MADE SIMPLE
Auto Schedule customers have Dibble Enterprises, Inc. monitor their tank(s) for them. We will check your tank periodically, and fill your tank as needed. To do this, Dibble Enterprises, Inc. forecasts your usage based on heating degree days. Will Call customers monitor their own tank(s) and call us when propane is needed. We ask that you notify us when your tank is at 20-30 percent. This allows ample time to get the tank scheduled. Scheduled deliveries are made Monday-Friday.

TANK FILLING
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Auto Schedule customers have us monitor their tank for them. We will check your tank periodically and fill as needed. To do this, we forecast your usage based on heating degree days. (However, we do encourage Auto Schedule customers to monitor their tanks in extreme cold weather.) Will Call customers monitor their own tank, and call us when propane is needed.

We ask that you call when your tank monitor reads 30% which is ample time to get the fill up scheduled.
If you are a Will Call customer and run out of propane/require service on the same day, after hours, weekends, or holidays, you will be charged $350. This fee is in addition to the propane delivered. We require a minimum of 3-5 business days (Mon-Fri) advance notice for all "Will Call" customers.

PAYMENT TERMS & FEES
We accept cash, check, and credit cards. (We do not accept American Express.)
Payments are due 30 days from the date of delivery (for most accounts.) Transport deliveries are due within 10 days. The first delivery payment is due upon receipt.
BUDGET CONTRACT PLANS
Budget plans are based on the average usage and/or your account history. Based on the information, an average monthly payment is set up for you at a contracted rate and is due at the end of each month. This program typically runs from August - June for a total of eleven months. In July, your account is reviewed, and you are notified of any credit or balance due.
PAYMENT AGREEMENT
We understand that circumstances arise and are happy to work with you. Please contact our office immediately at 815-237-2247 if you are unable to pay your bill within the 30 days.
OFF ROUTE/OUT-OF GAS DELIVERY FEES
Will Call customers who require same-day, after-hours, weekend, or holiday service will be charged a $350 fee in addition to the cost of propane delivered. To avoid this, please contact us when your tank reaches 20-30% so we can schedule your delivery with 3-5 business days notice. This fee does not apply to agricultural dryer tanks or Auto Schedule customers. To enroll in Auto Schedule - where we monitor your tank for you - call us at 815-237-2247.
